William, known as Willie, was born in 1920 in Ballygalda.  Willie's father was Patrick Larkin and his mother was Catherine Brennan.  His paternal grandparents were John Larkin and Margaret Connor; his maternal grandparents were John Brennan and Ellen.  He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Jim, Paddy, Tommy, Margaret, Maureen, Lena, Kitty and Brigid.  He died at the age of 68 on October 4th, 1988.
