| What events do you hold?
You’ll find comprehensive details of upcoming events
if you flip back the front page and search under the ‘events’
tab. We are always conscious of the need to expand our Christian
ministry in Christ and we welcome ideas that can be assimilated
into the YAG criteria and that glorify Christ. If you have
any ideas for future events, service projects or social gatherings,
let us know. We also need responsible and friendly people
to facilitate these events; perhaps you are involved with
an NGO that would benefit from the YAG’s involvement
one Saturday, or you might have access to discounted baseball
tickets through your job. It’s amazing how God can use
our everyday lives and interests to benefit his people. If
you have any suggestions, let us know and get involved.

Home Groups
Home groups (or cell groups) meet in the vicinity of Tokyo
Union Church, or further a field, once a week. Studying contemporary
Bible material, they are a good way to learn more about the
Lord and spend valuable time with fellow Christians outside
of a church setting. For information about home groups close
to your home, please contact spiritual life elder Doh Sueng
qz39j4@mac.com , or check the map situated in the foyer of
TUC. If you want to join the young adults Bible study every
Sunday afternoon, please contact Alan Sorba asorba@seagreen.ocn.ne.jp

Upcoming Event
August 20th at 7:30pm Dinner with the YAG
August is usually a quite time for the YAG group and the Church
in general, with many people on vacation, relaxing in their
homeland, or otherwise trying to keep cool through the
oppressive summer. Last year we went to watch fireworks, and
this year I thought it would be a nice idea if we met for
dinner.
Loads of us go out for lunch after church, but why don’t we make
an evening date of it and go to a nice (but not terribly
expensive) restaurant in Shibuya or Aoyama. You might like to
invite a friend, and it’s a good opportunity for me to share
some thoughts I have about Gods intentions for the YAG through
fall and winter.
If you’d like to come (I’ll make reservations once I’ve got a
rough idea of numbers) please call or mail me as soon you can. I
look forward to hearing from you,
In Christ, David |
