>>Women's Society
The Women's Society of TUC attempts to serve the spiritual, cultural, and emotional needs of over 500 members. Women from different cultures and varying faiths join the Society, providing opportunity for community outreach and evangelism.
Key activities include monthly meetings with a cultural or spiritual program. Spiritual Life classes, including Bible studies, are made available. Classes in Japanese culture and language, crafts, and international cooking are enjoyed by members. This organization holds two major fundraisers which include the Christmas Craft Boutique and the Spring Flea Market. Money is also raised through the monthly sale of used books, through sales of their cookbook, and their Tokyo guidebook, "Tokyo Tips."
Outreach is an important factor in Women's Society as shown in their tremendous participation in TUC's Rice Project as well as their financial support of many organizations in Japan and Southeast Asia. [Jump
