Opportunities to join the MOHN* Onigiri Making Teams!
TUC's MOHN has been supporting the homeless neighbors in the Shibuya/Yoyogi area by making Onigiri (Rice Balls) for them and delivering the Onigiri packages to where they sleep for the past 17 years. Today we make 160 Onigiri packages everyday, except on Saturdays and during the months of July and August, making the total annual production more than 42,000 such packages. In order to keep this fine tradition of serving the Lord through our support of our homeless neighbors, MOHN is offering the following service opportunities to the entire TUC community. You do not have to be a TUC member for participation in the Onigiri-making.
Sundays (12:30-1:30 pm):
Need three (3) additional regular members (Leader: Hisako Hankinson)
Mondays (9:00-10:00 am):
Need five to six (5 – 6) members to form a new team as the existing team members are leaving Tokyo
Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 am):
Need five to six (5 – 6) members for the same reason as above
If you are interested in helping on any of these days, on a weekly, bi-weekly, or on-call basis (meaning only when we need additional help), you are kindly asked to contact Fujino (Kaya) Kayanuma first with the day of the week of your choice and the type of your availability (Example:"interested in helping Mondays, bi-weekly. Name, E-mail address & telephone no."). You will be hearing from her with your final assignment. Please refrain from joining any team until you are contacted by Kaya.
