Monthly Tour Tours are offered monthly to interesting and unusual places in or near Tokyo. All Women's Society Members are encouraged to attend. You may sign up for the tours at the Monthly Program. September 2009 Tour
Meeting
Time: 9:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2009 Meeting
Place: JR Ikebukuro Station, inside of South Ticket Gate Costs:
¥1500 - Seibu Ltd. Exp. Chichibu, one-way, 78 minutes We will catch the train to Yokoze and go to a nearby farm in Chichibu. When we arrive at the farm, we will pick the famous Japanese Kyohou: big, delicious, purple grapes that actually taste like "grape"!!! We can eat as many as we like while we are picking. We can also purchase, at a very reasonable price, more grapes to take home. We will have a barbecue lunch sitting under the grape trellis. After lunch, we will pick Shiitake mushrooms, and each person can take a bag home for no extra charge. Reservations and
¥1500 deposit must be made on Thursday, September 10 at the TUCWS
Open House. This non-refundable deposit is required to purchase a reserved-seat
ticket for the outbound train.
