Who are we?
The YAG (Young Adults Group) is a part of Tokyo
Union Church. It falls under the larger
umbrella of the Adult Education Ministry and is served
by an elder, who is responsible for the overseeing of
the YAG and a committee of five people, chosen according
to faith, character and the necessary skills they bring.
At the moment our elder is David Stuchbury; the team
consists of Kevin Mueller (finances), Kevin Takeuchi
(notice board maintenance), Yumiko Kinoshita (information)
and Sayaka Kamakari (advertising). We meet once a month
and discuss relevant issues, spiritual and practical
concerns, and previous and upcoming events. We also
communicate with the wider body of YAG members and attendees,
and try to assimilate suggestions.
What is our aim?
Our aim is to serve the needs of YAG members and attendees,
through fellowship activities that strengthen bonds
amongst young adults at TUC and ultimately glorify Christ.
We aim to be sensitive and responsive to the spiritual
and emotional needs of young adults, providing opportunities
to grow and learn as Christians and to guide young adults
into other areas of ministry where they can be of service.
We aim to be responsive to the large body of young adults
in the Church, both transient and resident, by providing
monthly activities that can be enjoyed by many. At the
same time we aim to be sensitive to the needs of individuals.
