I am a Japanese man, who was born in and grew up in Tokyo. I belong to the IRH and open this site by my self. This site is not the official pages of the IRH. I just would like to tell the Gospel given by our Lord Ryuho Okawa the President of the IRH.

What is the origin of universe? |
|
I think this question is the ultimate question for human beings, and it is one of the roles of religion to explain the origin of universe. I only tell the teaching of Master Ryuho Okawa as follows, The Buddha(God) of the Grand Cosmos, Eternal Buddha exists in the twentieth or higher dimension, and has existed from a time that is unimaginably distant. This supreme consciousness conceived the creation of universe, and created the consciousness of the thirteenth dimension. The Cosmic Spirit of the thirteenth dimension created the nebular consciousness of the twelfth dimension. The Spirit of twelfth dimension created the stellar consciousness of the eleventh dimension. The Spirit of eleventh dimension created the planetary consciousness - the tenth dimension. Afterward, an extraordinary phenomenon, something resembling nuclear fusion 'Big Bang', occurred within the Spirit of thirteenth dimension. In an instant time, the three-dimensional space appeared. This is the Birth of Universe.

I have many questions about love. It seems to me as some strange being that only exist in the mind of people. I have liked several people but I can't say that I have actually loved them. That to me would be a miracle for me to love someone............. |

Everyone searches love here and there, but few people can find it. Because love is in daily life. It is not visible but is in practice. Mr.Ryuho Okawa teaches us that love resembles a gentle breeze. Real love is impartial like breeze. Love ceases when you stop giving, as if breeze stops when it ceases to breeze. Love is just giving without
reward. I think everyone has been loved by your family, friends.... and
God, but we often miss realizing it.
Sometime searching love keeps you away from real love. Giving love
makes you more happy than receiving it. With a little bit of courage,
giving love turns your circumstance better. For example; to be thoughtful of other's feeling; to give smiling and tender words. Of course it is
difficult for everyone to practice. It needs some effort to give love.
But let us try, just practice!

What is the origin of Hell and Satan? |
|
Throughout history, while living on Earth in the cycle of life, some of spirits tended to forget their original form as spirits, they abandoned themselves to materialism and worldly passions. They exerted an bad influence on the more morally sound spirits, and after they died they could not go back to Heaven, they began to create a field of their own in the lower dimensions - group of people with dark thoughts gathering in the spirit world of the fourth dimension. This is the origin of Hell and Satan.

What is evil? HOW can evil exist in a world that is created by Buddha(God)? |

The basic questions and arguments about the dualism of 'good and evil' are 'HOW can evil exist in a world that is the creation of Buddha?' and 'Is evil a hidden aspect of the character of Buddha himself?' It is nothing more than a temporary distortion or warping of the world of the mind or the world of phenomena brought about by conflict between two people simultaneously pursuing the freedom given to them by Buddha. Evil itself has no basic existence but comes about through the functional and behavioral interaction of others.

Could you please explain why or how evil spirits have power? Isn't God all-powerful? |
|
Every soul has the power to absorb and transmit light, and spiritually sound humans get energy from higher dimensions, and the source of energy comes from Eternal Buddha/Ultimate God. But souls in Hell have been cut off from the power of the light of Buddha. They have created for themselves a cloud of evil conceptual energy that lets no light through. Instead of Buddha's energy, they prefer the evil conceptual energy that lurks in the minds of living humans on Earth. In short, they deprive of energy from living humans of third dimension. Their energy is human's anger jealousy envy hostility and so on. Of course, God/Buddha is all-powerful. He could banish Hell and evil spirits, if he would, but he would not banish nor erase them. Because evil spirits are originally also children of Buddha, they are merely spiritually diseased and Buddha is patiently waiting for their recovery from disease with open mind.

Is it true that the forth dimension holds ghosts? If it is true can you give me some information on that. |

If you mean evil spirits in hell by the word 'ghosts'. You are right. They are in hell in a part of forth dimension. But I think you mean spirits that haunt in a place and some one feels or sees, so I have to mention a little.
After death, our souls usually leave our bodies and go back to the other world whether it is forth or higher dimension. When some people die, they find out they have died and an angel goes down to the third dimension in order to guide him up to heaven. Some people do not know they have died and they would not leave their bodies. During their funerals, they get angry and scared because their relatives and friends begin to burn and bury their bodies. They believe they are still living. They think they cannot return to their bodies again, if their bodies are buried. So they try to stop the funerals, but they cannot. No matter how hard they scream, nobody hear their screams and shouts. They are anxious about their families, jobs or some other things, but they soon understand people get along well without them. Sooner or later they come to know they have died and go to the suitable realm in the other world through the Styx. If a person dies in an unexpected accident. He/she may get upset and it is difficult to understand what has happened. Generally, it takes several weeks to prepare their minds for leaving this world, though some souls do not understand after they go back to the other world. On some occasions they do not understand that they have died, they do not go back to the real world but they remain in the third dimensional world. Some of them are attached to something vain and stay in a particular place to haunt and scare other people. Others possess other living human bodies that have familiar vibrations. They are so materialistic that they try to live another lives. In this case, a person possessed by a poor soul(ghost) are influenced badly by the soul. He changes his words, thought, favorites, behavior and character. If the things come to the worst, he is possessed by several poor souls(ghosts) and will be dragged down to hell. People call these poor souls(spirits) 'ghosts'. They are influenced badly by evil spirits of forth dimension and they are spiritually sick but children of Buddha. With open mind and patience, Buddha is waiting for their recovery. When we are depressed, we are influenced by evil spirits more or less even if we are not possessed by poor spirits. And they may whisper indulgent words. Our emotions, ideas, thought, minds and characters are influenced not only by other living people such as our family and friends but also by spirits of high and low. So if we hear such indulgent words, we must confirm where the indulgent thoughts come from to our minds and we must distinguish between the ideas from the guardian/guiding spirit of high dimension and the ideas from a poor spirits influenced by evil spirits. Our minds are so powerful that we draw something we want or someone who has familiar vibrations. Then we should reflect on our emotions not to fall for honeyed words of evil spirits. We should keep our mind clean and full of love to receive the inspiration from the guardian/guiding spirit and Buddha's love.

Why do we have to reflect on ourselves? |
|
It is related to the power of the mind. Buddha gave us the freedom of thinking, so it depends on us what we think about, even if is good things or bad things, which has the power of creation. The power of the mind is actually a power of creation given to us by Buddha. Our every thought represents the creation of something both here in the three-dimensional world and also in the multi-dimensional world. Particularly, a strong and continuous thinking, 'will' has a definite creative power, a power that is moreover an actual physical force.
If you wished to lead people in a positive direction, for example, this 'will' could be focused on them to create a sudden change in their minds or cause their lives to change for the better. If, on the other hand,....... Therefore, We should be very careful in how and what we think, to retain control over the power of our mind. Heaven and Hell are not merely something for us to expect after death, but they are here and now in our minds. The compassneedle of our minds points up and down, to Heaven and to Hell. Once we have learned this truth we should stop and think, look back over our lives, look back over every single day, correct the workings of our minds. This is reflection, 'The Eightfold Path'.

Do you recite sutras? |
|
Some of great Buddhist priests emphasized the significance of reciting sutras such as the lotus sutra, the heart sutra. Reciting sutras is a method of praying. It may has possibility that we could make contact with spirits in higher dimension and exchange messages if we had pure mind. If you pray good thing for people from bottom of your heart with pure heart, higher spirits receive it and they try to do something for people. In this sense it is powerful. On the other hand, if you pray for your desire or lust, evil spirits receive it and they possess you and............. However that may be, we must keep in mind that reciting a sutra is not almighty. We must train our mind through 'reflection' and the practice of 'love that gives'. As far as I am concerned, I recite the sutra 'The Dharma of the Right Mind' given by Master Ryuho Okawa. |
Have you ever lived in ashram? Or, Would you like to live in ashram? |

No, I haven't nor I wouldn't. I have read many books written by gurus, such as Rajneesh's works, but I would not like to go to any ashram, because many of ashrams life style seems to be that of ancient times. We should distinguish teaches of gurus from traditional manners and customs. Many of gurus only take over and succeed traditional manners and customs. While we are likely to think that most of Great men recorded in History destroyed traditional manners and customs, as a matter of fact they kept harmony with manners and customs in their times. Even if you are in ashram far from urban, your mind may be full of desire. Today's enlightened ones with common sense would not reject civilization and today's urban life with modern conveniences, because, in the cycle of life, we are given our life in urban by Buddha(God) this time and we should quest and realize truth and happiness in daily life.

All words on the pictures of 'Photo Gallery' are from the book 'Rebirth of Buddha' written by Master Ryuho Okawa. I have just quoted his words and put on pictures. Those words do not concern with the ancient Egyptian religion. Actually, I do not have a detailed knowledge of Egyptian religion. I am sure that 'Rebirth of Buddha' is the scripture of the scriptures that human beings have ever had. The light of Ultimate God(Eternal Buddha) has been consistent throughout history. Though it seems that God's light has shown us various aspects through prophets, the essence of his everlasting words have not changed since the beginning of history and will never change forever. His words were genuine not only in ancient Egypt but also is genuine today.

This all seems feasible in theory.... But as long as there are "cheaters", no one can ever truly reach that point you've so intricately described. |

Though Great Saviors such as Jesus Christ, Buddha Shakyamuni, Mohammed began to preach the gospels alone at the beginning, their teachings spread world-wide. There must have been cheaters in both western and eastern world through human history. But Great Saviors and their followers never gave up their missionary works in spite of obstacles by thoughtless people. And today their spirits and ambition still live on. Kofuku-no-Kagaku(The Institute for Research in Human Happiness) have been active in Japan for ten years. And now IRH have become one of the major religious groups of Japan and we have Canadian members, too. Generally speaking, it is impossible to cheat people for a long time. With love and wisdom, we wish we will be able to push away cheaters. The bible says 'Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.', 'How much more, then, will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask him! Do for others what you want them to do for you: this is the meaning of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets'. People have conveyed these teachings from a person to a person, from their heart to heart. We are sure we can do it. Let us embrace a dream. I would like to believe in future.

What are your views on computers and human happiness? Can technology provide solutions to the question of Human Happiness? |

It is possible that computer technologies turn our life very convenient in various fields such as communication, business, industries, education, medical care, welfare, arts, and so on. For example, they enable us to contact with each other by e-mail. In my point of view, they are concerned with human happiness as far as their technologies improve our daily life. They may be an important factor in human happiness, but they are not the definite ones. Basically happiness is a matter of mind.
Just think about ancient times, you will find out there were those who lived happily and lived unhappily. Generally speaking, the point of using technologies are how we utilize them. For example, atomic energy can be utilized not only for producing electric power but for bombs. Perhaps computer technologies remind you of an information-oriented society. What do they bring about? There are two opposite views. The first view is that computers will bring about the centralization of information and authorities, which divides people into two groups, those who have information and authorities and those who do not. The second view is that they will bring about the dispersion of information, where people have a fair opportunity to get favorite information. Some people may feel uneasy about the former. I suppose that they will bring about the information differentials to some extent. But social equality will be kept. I would like to point out that happiness comes from the relationships between others and us, and that unhappiness also comes from it. When we come to think of emotions such as joy, sorrow, anger, jealousy, pride, we will find every emotion usually results from the relationship with others. In short, to be happy or not, it depends on the relationships which we establish with others. When we utilize technologies, we should examine our mind, because happiness is concerned with our mind.

He predicted that the television network would cover the world and the world would turn into a global village. Most people agree that mass communication had great influences on the unify of eastern and western German, the opening of Eastern European countries to the western countries and the dissolution of the Soviet Union. |

be welcomed to Kofuku-no-Kagaku. We have offices not only in Asia but also in North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, so we can cover all over the world. Anywhere you live, Buddha will take care of you. Any language you speak, Buddha's light will reach you, so long as you open your mind.

Would you consider reading the Gospels of the New Testement as they appear in the Bible? I believe that if you read the story of Jesus with an open heart, it will be a life changing experience for you. |

Thank you for suggestion, but when I was a boy I went to a Catholic
Sunday school on every Sunday for five years and used to sing hymns.
Still now I sometimes read the bible and I like Matthew, Acts,
2 Corinthians and so on. Nevertheless, I did not understand the true
meaning what Jesus Christ preached, until I joined Kofuku-no-Kagaku.
Jesus taught me how precious love and faith are, and Ryuho Okawa taught
me the true meaning of life. Christians are likely to consider God as the existence who would forgive our sin and save us. But Buddhists often think God(Buddha) as the existence who save us, at the same they think as a goal we should approach with enlightenment through soul training. Buddhists do not think they originally have sin. Christianity and Buddhism have many things in common, because universal religions have an aspect of Buddha's truth and founders of universal religions had been sent on Buddha's mission.
