日本最古級の平織り（？）の断片 　縄文時代前期（約5500年前）の谷の泥炭層から、 縄文時代最古級という平織りの一種が出土した。 縫い針も出ており、縄文人は衣服を作っていたとみられる。	A fragment of the oldest plain fabrics in Japan A sort of the oldest plain fabrics was dug up at peat deposits in a dale of the first term in Jomon Age. It was about 5,500 years ago. A sewing needle was also excavated. It looks that Jomon people made clothes.
