豊かな表情を持つ土偶

　三内丸山遺跡からは多数の土偶が出土している。 多くは十字形の板状土偶で、最大のものは長さ32cm。 使われ方は謎だが、祭祀に用いられたという説がある。

An Earthen Figure With An Expressive Face

A number of earthen figures have been dug up at Sannai Maruyama Site. Many are in the shape of a cross and like a board. The biggest one is 32 centimeter long. How they were used is still a mystery. Some say thet they were used for religious service.
