縄文時代中期の配石遺構出土

　土壙墓のまわりを円形に石で囲んだ、配石遺構が検出された。 被葬者の社会的立場や時代の違いにより、墓には形態の違いがある。

Grave Discovered Surrounded by Stones

Stones had been arranged in double circles around a recently discovered pit grave. This may have marked the social status of the interred person, or may indicate a different time period. It may have been an early form of the stone circles that were seen frequently later.
