Singapore-Mumbai .... First time to visit Mumbai.

Sep/27/2000
I could sleep well as I might be tired. I got up at 7:30, had breakfast from 8:00. And I went China Town, had a foot massage. It was 18S$ for 45 min. A masseur told me I had a serious stiff neck. That day no other customer, he checked up my neck and shoulder for free! Lunch was a jian noodle. Though I could see China Town has been developed, I, as a tourist, wished old China Town atmosphere could remains. I went back to Bencoolen Street, picked up my luggage at the hotel.

I tried to find a bus for the Airport, but I couldn't find easily. I used a taxi against my will.
I had checked in between Singapore and Munbai yet, I proceeded to imigration counter, took a rest in restrict area. As I got to a bording gate, there were many Indian tourists., the scene made me realize India is coming! In the cabin, there were many Asian passengers from outside of India, but vacant seats were seen. I could use 3-row seats for myself, I didn't care for 5-hour flight.

Around 21:30, I arrived in Mumbai. The facilities of Mumbai International Airport is quit better than Chennai Airport where I went in 1998. Imigration took long time. Before leaving restrict area, I exchanged money, after I left it I could reconfirmed my flight at Jetr Airways's counter.
At another counter, I bought pre-paid taxi ticket and headed for the city. I did' t meet trouble with a taxi driver, which I often experience, but the dirver didn't know address of my hotel...

2At 24:00 I arrived at the hotel. This time I found out this hotel via interner. I expected a lot for the hotel becouse it has it own website. But guest list was written in note book by hand, it've got me there. I chose a cheap room with fan but without a window. This night I soon fell in sleep.
