Thai's Railway

Thailand's railway scenery

We can see local people's life style in railroad cars evreywhere in any countries and areas,so I usally try to get on.This time also. It took an hour from Bangkok to Ayyutaya and costed 15 B. I got a timetable at the information center in the station. I was wandering where to get a ticket,a station clerk talked to me and taught the place.

The cars were old-fashoned and with air-conditioner.I realized I was in the trip because I saw the different scenery from Japan's one. Tourists, commuters, families with children.

My way back from Ayyutaya was also railway. In Ayyutaya station,I could see highschool students-looking were on the way home. They wore uniforms same as Japan and they seemed to enjoy talking during waiting-hours.

Scenery from window looked like a carefree farm villege. I saw many houses on the water.Maybe climate made them. As long as I saw the scenery along the railroad,I realized there is still the difference between a city and a farm villege.

After I came back to Bangkok,I had to look for a hotel. At Hua Lamphong Station,I saw many passengers in the waiting room. There was a tourist center(You can reserve hotels and tours) some shops,a restraunt,a postoffice,an exchanger.I made a hotel reservation at the tourist center,it costed 700B and it was substantially cheaper than on-season.
