Japan, a country known for its famous gardens and parks can now add another to its list... the Apricot Apron Park at Narita, Tokyo's International Airport.

The 550 square meter plot lined with apricot tress symbolizes the bitter dispute between the critics of the New Tokyo International Airport and the authorities. The plot had been used as a barganing chip by a group of land owners opposed to the expansion plans at the airport. The location of the new Terminal Two was dictated by this plot, but pilots still have to use tractors to help maneuver their planes around the plot to the gates.
