My name is Emi Nunokawa My family name has no meaning. The "kawa" part means "river". |
|
My first name is Emi. My kanji character has a meaning of "rich with beauty (pure)" (The second character is the "utsu" in "utsukushii", which is the Japanese word for beauty.) My father named me after my mother. Her name is Keiko. So her first kanji and mine is the same, but the way of reading it is not. (The pronunciation is different.) My name is very ordinary in Japan. So I used to dislike it. But, now, I like it so-so. |
