Timothy Harris writes about poetry, drama and music for PN REVIEW, Manchester, and Quadrant, Melbourne, and was one of the contributors to The Oxford Companion to Twentieth Century Poetry in English. With the late Alan Booth and alone, he has given numerous readings and performances throughout Japan. At Ueno Gakuen University, he has put on performances of Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, Coriolanus, Richard II and Twelfth Night. His productions have also been performed by invitation at the Shakespeare Society of Japan's annual general meetings. Next year, in connection with the festival of British Arts UK 98, he will put on the first performance for 400 years of Shakespeare's Edward III.
