Petri guides us through the entire 2nd Series.

Late Morning 9:00-11:00am
Led Primary
Petri guides us through the full Primary Series, with emphasis on proper breathing and correct vinyasa.

Special Topic 1: Breathing, Vinyasa and Pose Technique
A detailed look at the fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga: correct ujayi breathing, vinyasa (movements connecting the poses) and poses, with special emphasis on challenging poses.
Suitable for all levels.
Special Topic 2: Standing and Finishing Poses
A vital but sometimes neglected part of our practice! These poses are more than just warm-ups and cool-downs... Petri shows how the standing poses set up the correct flow of energy for our practice, and how the finishing poses restore and rebalance our energy.
Suitable for all levels.
2nd Series Clinic
2nd Series Clinic Parts 1 and 2
2nd series poses and vinyasa are explained in detail. Petri is currently writing a book on 2nd Series in collaboration with Guruji--this will be an excellent opportunity to learn about 2nd Series as practiced in Mysore under Guruji. Part 1 covers up to Supta Vajrasana, part 2 starts from Bakasana.
Requirements: regular practice of Primary Series.
Chanting and Pranayama
Chanting
Petri will lead us through several Sanskrit chants and show the correct sanskrit pronunciation of the opening and closing chants of Ashtanga Yoga.
Suitable for all levels.
Pranayama
An introduction to basic pranayama technique, especially suitable for Ashtanga Yoga practictioners.
Suitable for all levels.
Adjustment Clinic
Adjustment Clinic Parts 1-4
Suitable for teachers, prospective teachers, and students wanting a deeper understanding of the poses. Petri shows us how he uses his "magical" touch to help students into the poses safely and correctly.
Parts 1 and 2 cover basics such as developing a good touch, and how to adjust standing poses.
Requirements: regular practice of at least half the primary series.
Parts 3 and 4 cover more advanced adjustment techniques and sitting poses.
Requirements: regular primary series practice, and attending at least Part 1 or Part 2.
