製造メーカー不詳　黄色地花柄チョコレート・カップ（？）

　普通のカップとしてはサイズが大きく、両側に取っ手があるところからも、チョコレートカップではないかと考えられる。そうだとすると、蓋（もちろん受け皿も）が付属していた可能性もあるが、なくなっている。取っ手の形状が独特であり、これがメーカー判別のヒントになると思われるが、それ以上は分からない。チェンバレン・ウースター製として売られていたものであるが、肯定するだけの根拠に乏しい。製造年代は、絵付けや全体の形状から判断して、19世紀初期ではないかと思われる。

Larger than normal cups and double handled, this cup is regarded as a chocolate cup. If so, there could have been a lid as well as a saucer. The handle form is unique which could be a hint for the identification. This cup was sold as Chamberlain-Worcester but there are no sufficient reasons to support it. This piece could be dated to early 19th. century judging from the paintings and the overall shape.
