Note that there has been a lot of friction between MTB cyclists and Hikers/land owners/Ome-city about MTB routes around Ome.

About 20 years ago we could ride MTB on Ome-kyuryo (just behind Ome-station).  However, some Cycle magazine introduced the route and lots of MTB cyclists came and used it. This caused trouble for hikers and local people, so Ome-city closed the route for MTB.

Similar troubles are now occurring at other trails around Ome. MTB tour guides are using these trails for their business rides. Some people have been leaving trash and damaging the trail. Some MTB cyclists damage the trail by cycling on it when it is still quite wet after a heavy rainfall.

Most cyclists know how to ride trails and have good manner, but unfortunately there are a few cyclists who do not take enough care as well.

Your understanding and cooperation to use MTB trails sensibly is appreciated.
