Paula Terry is a vocalist known for her
talent to sing a wide range of music styles. From Jazz standards
and Bossanova in Portugese) Pop and R&B, French pop songs,
and was the lead singer of the well-known, Sydney based, Acid
Jazz band 'Cracker-jam'.
Paula is also a recording artist with a number of CD's and
sang for many TV commercials. Paula performed with the famous
Bassist Paul Jackson from 'Herbie Hancock and the Head-hunters'.
She also sang with Todd Carver the Fusion jazz guitarist who
played with Ester Phillips. She sang background vocals for
the award-winning Japanese actor Oda Yuji. She also appeared
with the pop star 'Echo' on a televised concert that was also
shown through-out Asia.
Paula has worked with some wonderful international musicians
such as a trio with Jonathen Katz (piano), Andy Wulf (sax)
and Mark Turian (bass) to name a few. Some of the many events
that Paula has performed at include the XO Hennessey promotion
event in Osaka with Paul Jackson, the Asahi beer promotion
event with Andy Wulf and the Shinjuku Odakyu Department Store
Xmas event. Paula has, for the past six years, gone on tour
to various parts of Japan, with an international dance troupe
to perform a dinner review show at top Hotels.
Paula's most recent Hotel contract was at the Park Hotel in
Shiodome for three months, September to November 2004, as
the resident vocalist. Paula sang with top Japanese jazz musicians
such as the pianist Ken Ishida who played with Carol Sloane.
Paula is currently performing at the Shiodome Park Hotel.
