He graduated from Sacred Heart University (Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA) with a bachelor of science degree in social work  with additional course study in psychology, theology and philosophy.

From 3rd grade (elementary school) until high school graduation, he studied  & played the viola and performed every year in student orchestras(1st & 2nd chair). He performed one season with the Connecticut All State Student Orchestra while in high school.

He enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1969. After earning a USAF certificate in electronics, he was stationed in Tokyo until his return to the US in1972(honorably discharged).

In 1974, he returned to Japan and has been a resident ever since.

For 25 years, he taught English conversation to Japanese business  students and other Asian students at Chiyoda Senmon Gakkou Business College in Tokyo.

He has been entertaining regularly with magic and comedy at house parties, schools and company events in  Tokyo & Yokohama since 1978. 

For over 15 years, he performed  his comedy magic and balloon sculpturing shows regularly throughout Japan on weekends and holidays at theme parks, resorts and shopping centers.

For 10 years(1976-1986) on a weekly schedule, he visited children's English language classrooms and conducted fun and exciting seminars that taught English with magic and comedy. These were a chain of classrooms located throughout Japan and called 'Obunsha LL' (operated by the publishing company, Obunsha).

He once entertained at a party hosted by Keith Richards in his suite at the New Otani Hotel when the Rolling Stones were on tour of Japan.

Occasionally, he is cast to perform on Japanese TV commercials and dramas.

His hobbies & interests (besides magic) include art  appreciation, oil painting, classical music, fitness & nutrition, astronomy and space science.
