わく星学校は1990年4月に開校したフリースクールです。
Planet School was established on April 10, 1990 as an alternative school.

　子どもも大人もみなが対等で自由に生きられるような自己と社会のあり方を模索し、学び合い、育み合いながら20年間の歩みをきざんできました。
For 20 year, it has been a place where children and adults have looked into themselves and learn "liberty," "independence," and "self-governance" as goals.

　決まったカリキュラムにしばられずに、自分たちの「学び」を自分たちで計画し、実行していくことによって主体性を身につけ、自立していく場です。
Planet school is a place where students plan, decide, and pursuit what they want to do without following set curriculums. By doing so, they become independent and self-disciplined.

　岩倉の季節感あふれる自然の中でゆったりと過ごす日常では、さまざまな生活の知恵や創造の楽しみを体験的に学んでいます。また、合宿をはじめとする多彩な企画を通じて、社会の実相に触れ、あたたかい人の輪に出会う機会にも恵まれています。
In order to achieve the above, Planet school offers "study programs" that put emphasis on learner's independence. It also offers opportunities and environment to gain experience through every day life, society, camps, caravans, nature, and arts.
