The Studio 8 Title editor is used to create titles and menus.
Its interface is simple, consistent, but powerful. A title is a collection
of objects (text, rectangular, ellipse) on a background (transparent, solid
color, gradient color, or image). If the background is located on the video
track, the title is called a full screen title. If the background
is located on the overlay track, the title is called an overlay title.
A disc menu is a title with at least one button. |

Tips |
Title Animations are limited to rolls and crawls?
No flys, fades, or zooms? Not if you try to find it in the title editor.
However, there is this sentence in the Studio 8 manual which says "In
Timeline view, you can drop the transition on either the Video track
or the Overlay track. On the Overlay track, the transition bridges
two overlays, or one overlay and transparency". Easy to miss. To fade
in or fade out a title, place any of the standard or Alpha Magic 2-D
transitions at the beginning or end of the title overlay. For impressive
3-D effects use any of the HFX transitions. The example uses as fade-in
the Alpha Magic Confetti transition. As fly-out, the Hollywood FX for
Studio BAS-Balloon (part of Hollywood FX Basic) is used.
