ダービー スペード型香水瓶(1773-74年頃)
A Derby Spade-shaped Essence Flask Ca.1773-74

　チェルシー・ダービー期のトランプのスペード型の香水瓶（ダービー「D2-18」及びダービー「D2-35」を参照）。地色は肌色あるいは小鹿色であるが、胴体正面は白地で、ピンクのリボンから吊るされた金枠のメダリオン内にモノトーンで人物頭部像が描かれている（裏面も同様）。1774年のロンドン店舗カタログ（原典を読む8.を参照。）にある、同型作品の記述には、"adorned with medallions, some representing cards, some cameos, &c,"とあるが（カタログNo.45)、その「カメオ」というのは、本品のような装飾を指していた可能性がある。また、形状に関しては、ダービー「D2-18」と同じく型番61番の可能性があるが、本品には型番の記載はない。
